Are the plates compatible with all hex types?
Yes! All the Hex Sol Plates are compatible with all hexes.
There is a Riser hex that we sell that is generally only useful if you use in conjunction with the Hex Sol Mini, but besides that you're good to go.
What games does this work best with?
So many! The large Hex Sol system works best with games that don't have a large central board or have so many components that you need a large amount of table space anyway. The Hex Sol Mini works well in smaller games or games that have a larger board to work around.
